Atelier McClane is Julia Crinon and Hugo Marchal, a duo based in France.

We started to work together in early 2013, motived by our shared influencies and drawing practice. Screenprinting and selfpublishing were a way to gain autonomy, spread our work and evolved in alternative scenes. Now, we continue to work with screenprinting and selfpublishing, and we opened ourselves to others mediums (installations, mural paintings, photography…).

Our thinking themes turn around the place of politics in daily life. We try to understand the way how the systems of domination weigh on the sensitive individual and his environment. With black and white and figuration, we compose radical and symbolic images, with many levels of interpretation and narration. Without answer or instructions, we project our visions, concerns and stands.
